ΑΡΓΟΣ - The Municipal Market
The Municipal Market of Argos consists of a building complex in Kapodistria Square. It was constructed in 1889, based on plans by the well-known architect Ernst Ziller. Basically, it is one building made up of three sections, each with its own roof. The two on each end have a simple hip roof, while the central building has a gable. The typology of the construction follows the cross shaped arrangement of the market, while its morphological characteristics are neo-classical. Today the building houses several of the city’s shops.
