ΑΡΓΟΣ - The Street Market

The open air street market, an istitution with a great tradition throughout Greece and Argos, takes place these days in a large square between the Kapodistrias Barracks and the building of the Neoclassical Municipal Market. Here, on hundreds of stalls, twice a week, on every Wednesday and Saturday, producers of agricultural produce and sellers of basic supplies sell their wares. The market serves consumers from all social and economic classes from both the city and the whole of the Argolis region.
